El libro es una gran herramienta para conocer, aprender, y educar a mi hijo varón. Me enseñó que como madre, NO estoy sola en el mundo y más aún, que mi hijo varón es normal, no es un extraterrestre!! El estilo único del Dr. Dobson hace entretenida la lectura y me gusta mucho como su base totalmente cristiana se adapta a la realidad de nuestros tiempos. El demuestra como sí se pueden criar varones con valores cristianos y a la misma vez vivir en nuestra sociedad actual. Mi propósito como madre es educar a mi hijo varón para que sea un hombre con valores y responsable consigo mismo, su familia actual y futura, y la sociedad. Este libro me provee una valiosa ayuda para poder alcanzar mi propósito.

Recomiendo mucho este libro pues ensena verdades necesarias para el buen criar de los varones. La sociedad ha experimentado mucho con la mente de las personas. Ahora es mas normal la familia difuncional donde siempre hay la ausencia del padre y a veces la madre. Las mujeres piensan que la figura paterna no es importante, expecialmente las feministas, pero no es asi. Ademas de este libro tambien recomiendo "Atrevete a Disciplinar". Desde los 80's el mundo ha cambiado mucho y muchas veces negativamente en cuanto la visualizacion que tenemos de lo que es ser padres. Quien dijo que no hay que estudiar para ser padre?? Yo creo que hay que dar mas a nuestro hijos de lo que recibimos como tales. Es uno de los mejores libros y de verdad que funciona pues usa bases biblicas....y las ensenanzas de Dios no fallan!!

We use this in college classes

This book will give you definitions and several work examples to get you on your way. The software itself has 'help' built in, but you have to know what to ask. This book will give you that background.

Not really worth it.

It's an ok book. Nothing necessarily wrong with purchasing it, but I ended up using it all of 1 time in the semester. Most of the stuff you need you can just find online.

If you are just trying to learn SolidWorks by yourself for fun or to put on your resume, this wouldn't be a bad book to get. However, if you have an instructor, I don't think it's worth it as the instructor will basically give you what the book does. So you would know enough from that to be able to Google the appropriate information needed if you were stuck during an assignment/project. There are a lot of forums available where many people have had the same issue (or very similar).

"Critical thinking" has become an educational buzzword with many diverse and sometimes conflicting definitions and teaching approaches. Educators - at all levels - need to understand definitions of "critical thinking" that clearly indicate just what critical thinking is, what a significant improvement of thinking is, how its improvement can be made operational, and how critical thinking can be effectively taught. Mathew Lipman's second edition of Thinking in Education proposes constructive and creative guidance without pretending to be the final definitive word on this complex and challenging matter.

Matthew Lipman is not an armchair educational philosopher, but one who has been in the "trenches" for many years. He began over thirty years ago at Montclair State University the Philosophy for Children program, which is now an international movement. The pedagogy of a community of inquiry, developed in the Philosophy for Children program, is proposed as a social context within which to teach critical, creative, and caring thinking. It encourages exploration, curiosity, and organization, and gives back to students some of the natural incentives to venture they experienced after their own birth and began exploring and figuring out their world. Thinking in Education is a theoretical work, sprinkled with some practical suggestions, based on the author's experience and research in this program, and on his reflections on thinking in general.

Though Matthew Lipman does not give applications of his ideas to specific disciplines, and though some might take issue with his emphasis on philosophy for children, Thinking in Education will provide some important theoretical guidance for all levels of education: the state departments of education, higher education, teacher training, and professional development.

A sexy story

She wasn't planning on enjoying her time with Amy and her husband William. Now she's determined more than ever to make sure this wasn't her first and last time spending time with Amy and William.

This was a quick 19 page read, that ended up being very hot and very steamy novel. I'd rate this a 4.5/5 just because with the amount of information that was left out that could have been included, causing the book to be a bit longer might have been more appealing. Overall a very sexy story.

This book was okay- i've no complaints and it's exactly what I would expect based on the blurbs and the cover.
Cover is generic but appears professionally done at least and is fitting. Some of the scenes felt generic while others were hot. No complaints! Fun, fast read.

Bible Study "lite"

This is a fantastic deal to give your prayer life a kick. The stories are told by women who seem to have much experience with leading bible studies and studying scripture. My only pet peeve is in the middle of each teaching lesson, there is a testimonial from an anonymous lady, different every time. I found it distracting and thought it could have been placed at the end instead of the middle of the lesson. It could have also been placed at the very beginning of the lessons as an intro? For some, this may not bother them at all.

The guidebook is short and sweet. There are just a few questions after each video. There are good quotes pulled from the speaker which I appreciate. It does not include studies to work through during the week, but you could spread that week's questions over the week if you really wanted. It has only the questions for that day's video which include scripture study and then questions to apply to your own life. I like that there are different women from which to hear teach. This introduces me to some that I will definately pursue online for their books and blogs. This is not a big Beth Moore study those goes in depth or a DVD full of flyers for your church to do the study. If you are a Sunday School teacher, this would be a good series for the summer as each session stands alone. You can jump in at any session and not be behind.

This has been a lovely way to start my morning prayer time. Each session is about 15-20 minutes. It is a fresh take on different women in the bible. I have already ordered the next one! I hope there are more DVD/guide book sets likethis to come from Zondervan. I WOULD BUY THEM ALL!!! The price includes the DVD & the book.

Great Bible study for women!

I was looking for a Bible study to do with my friends and I am so glad we found the books and DVDs from "Real Women, Real Faith." Every women in my bible study are having an amazing experience with God's word trough using this DVDs and books. What I like the most about "Real Women, Real Faith" is to hear how 6 different Godly women on this series are talking and describing the lives of 12 women in the Bible, one per session, in a very different and powerful way. Every lesson we are studying has a massage that challenge us to see God's truth, God's love and his powerful work in us in a more personal way. The message I get in every chapter we study, in every short video we watch is the reassurance that God is real, for real women and He works in us, trough us when we use real faith. This amazing study is for sure one of God's tools to help us to understand, to teach and to empower us to have and use faith. I would definitely recommend "Real Women, Real Faith" for women looking for a Bible or personal study.

I really liked the format of this DVD. The six women are bringing six important but very different female characters in the bible closer into today's life. A great study for individual use as well as for groups.

A Bit of History with Healing

The book is small but informative. The diagrams were adequate to get the idea of the placements and the history lesson layed a good foundational background to understand the how's and why's this technique works. I tried some hand placements in my meditations and did feel after only a few days that things were happening. Removing toxins, balancing the interior centers, etc. I did purchase another Mudras book that I found slightly more helpful as i didn't need or want to get as much history as this book provided.

The information I was looking for about the neuro-physilogical actions of mudras and how to practice them was all here. Thank you. I do not agree with some of the author's other philosophy but my culture is different and his philosophy will not interfere with my mudra practice which is proceeding.
