Arabic the way Arabs learn it

I received this book as a gift to help me refine my learning of the Arabic language, and I love it! This book is a quirky addition to the other Arabic learning books already out there which, let's face it, are often pretty dry. This is probably the first book in English that explains the Arabic language the way that native speakers would learn it, however, this book is not an academic type book. Instead, it is based on applied, practical problems that look easy but can wind up being a real headache, such as how to express "more crowded," "this car is mine," or how to pronounce the number ten correctly. The explanations are written in plain English, and the author translates and explains the concepts and ideas of Arabic grammar terms in a really in-depth and helpful way. This approach is especially helpful if your aim is to study Arabic in the Arab world. The book contains hundreds of examples, and every Arabic sentence is translated and fully vocalized. You will find advanced content that goes beyond what you would learn at a college level. I highly recommend this book for intermediate students!

Enjoyable, quick, smutty read

If you're looking for a long, drawn-out novel, then this isn't the book for you. But if you're more like me, and have to take your reading in small chunks of time, then this book is excellent. Anyone should be able to read in within a half hour, and for your time you'll get a steamy hot erotic story. The POV is from the female, which is good since it'd take to much space within a short story to explore both POVs. I'd recommend for anyone who wants erotic stories to be short, sweet, but completely satisfying. As stated in the description, this story does feature some exhibitionism, and people who enjoy that should like this story even more.

El libro es una gran herramienta para conocer, aprender, y educar a mi hijo varón. Me enseñó que como madre, NO estoy sola en el mundo y más aún, que mi hijo varón es normal, no es un extraterrestre!! El estilo único del Dr. Dobson hace entretenida la lectura y me gusta mucho como su base totalmente cristiana se adapta a la realidad de nuestros tiempos. El demuestra como sí se pueden criar varones con valores cristianos y a la misma vez vivir en nuestra sociedad actual. Mi propósito como madre es educar a mi hijo varón para que sea un hombre con valores y responsable consigo mismo, su familia actual y futura, y la sociedad. Este libro me provee una valiosa ayuda para poder alcanzar mi propósito.

Recomiendo mucho este libro pues ensena verdades necesarias para el buen criar de los varones. La sociedad ha experimentado mucho con la mente de las personas. Ahora es mas normal la familia difuncional donde siempre hay la ausencia del padre y a veces la madre. Las mujeres piensan que la figura paterna no es importante, expecialmente las feministas, pero no es asi. Ademas de este libro tambien recomiendo "Atrevete a Disciplinar". Desde los 80's el mundo ha cambiado mucho y muchas veces negativamente en cuanto la visualizacion que tenemos de lo que es ser padres. Quien dijo que no hay que estudiar para ser padre?? Yo creo que hay que dar mas a nuestro hijos de lo que recibimos como tales. Es uno de los mejores libros y de verdad que funciona pues usa bases biblicas....y las ensenanzas de Dios no fallan!!

We use this in college classes

This book will give you definitions and several work examples to get you on your way. The software itself has 'help' built in, but you have to know what to ask. This book will give you that background.

Not really worth it.

It's an ok book. Nothing necessarily wrong with purchasing it, but I ended up using it all of 1 time in the semester. Most of the stuff you need you can just find online.

If you are just trying to learn SolidWorks by yourself for fun or to put on your resume, this wouldn't be a bad book to get. However, if you have an instructor, I don't think it's worth it as the instructor will basically give you what the book does. So you would know enough from that to be able to Google the appropriate information needed if you were stuck during an assignment/project. There are a lot of forums available where many people have had the same issue (or very similar).
