Out of all the books in this series, this one is my favorite. It left you wondering what would happen to the villain and at the same time describing the heartache of the MCs. I have to say that this book did bring a few tears to my eyes. My only complaint....the book was too short!!!

Tristan's Despair

Tristan’s Despair is the eighth installment of Lavinia Lewis’ Shifters’ Haven series recommended to be read in order. Tristan finally got his wish and discovered his mate. Joey, a human, was in Wolf Creek doing an investigative story related to the arsons that had befallen the town.

Tristan felt the mate pull immediately as did his human mate, although not truly understanding Joey was willing to date Tristan in order to allow the relationship to evolve.

Tristan’s Despair was a great addition to the series, as old characters are given the chance to find their mates creating new storylines. I also appreciated that Ms. Lewis did not forget the intricate circle of the pack and those that comprise it.

The story was a continuation of Pete’s Persuasion as the arsonist was still not captured but her whereabouts were divulged.

Lavinia Lewis is a delightful story teller adding substance to her characters and their tales as she sets the framework for her story. Each character matures and grows both internally and as a couple. That is not to say that problems do not arise, but Ms. Lewis resolves them with clarity and substance.

Hot men who happen to be shifters and great loving relationships; a must read for a fan of the series or a newbie.

I enjoyed Tristan’s Despair by Lavinia Lewis. While this story is eighth in the Shifters’ Haven series, it can be read as a stand alone. I appreciated that Ms. Lewis tied up loose ends in such a way that it was easy to follow even if you were reading the series out of order which I have tended to do.
I thought Ms. Lewis gave us two likeable characters in Joey and Tristan. Both men were relatively young but had strong ideas of who they were and what they wanted. I loved that both were willing to compromise for their relationship. Ms. Lewis pointed out the importance of communication when both Joey and Tristan were offering more than their partners expected or wanted. I loved that even though Joey and Tristan appeared at such a cross purpose, Ms. Lewis found a way to make their relationship work in a way that made sense. She showed us that with commitment and determination love would win out. I thought the emotion and chemistry between Joey and Tristan felt real and their frustration with their current lot in life was believable.
Overall, this was a well written addition to this series and I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

oldies but goodies

This is a classic must read for serious grounded theorists.

To me, this book was a bit chewy in the very beginning. Believe it or not, some messages in the book are very mathematical. It takes high level abstract thinking to be able digest the book. It's definitely not a bathtub reading. After weeks of cracking, everything felt into place. It has tremendously increased the level of my understanding of GT. Now, I rely it as an important source of information when I need some clarifications about GT.

Easy to read and comprehend for student.

Nice edition to Everyday Life Skills textbook if you can get it. Good for reinforcing concepts. I enjoyed the layout and learning lessons of this book. Easy to read and comprehend. I used the textbook and thought that was enough, and used this workbook very little, however that was just my preference. This was used for homeschool Life Skills course for 11th grade. Cost was inexpensive compared to other publishers books.

Being an avid "Franklinite," the flame of my interest in the mystery of the Erebus and Terror was fanned after the wreck of the Erebus was found in the Arctic last year after almost 170 years. Kristina Gehrmann has researched very well into the doomed expedition and her drawings not only show excellent detail and are well executed, but are also quite adorable. The storyline is of course fictional, since we don't know exactly what may have happened, but nonetheless it is believable as one of many theories. I'm eagerly awaiting the second book in the series.

A Success book that says just what needs to be said!

As a published author and motivational speaker I have read many books on success - some good and some not so good. "The Ultimate You" is one of the best I've read. Presented in a simple straightforward way, this book is a life changing book, if only the reader applies the truths presented. Of the three primary parts I found myself drawn to the Success Mindset section. Not that Management and Marketing aren't equally as good, the mindset portion just connected as I feel that if you don't have the first building block the other sections have less meaning. After all, Success is really just a state of mind and if more people read this book they would find the connection between mind and outcome. Unlike a number of "Success" books, Curtis Kessinger has done a masterful job of presenting what needs to be said without overkill that I find from so many authors. I would highly recommend this book.

This book simplifies what is required to be successful, no matter what you choose to go after. It is a quick read, unlike most success books that go on and on for 300 pages and it is written in a motivating style. It teaches you how to get past your fears and move forward every day. It provides you with honest and constructive guidance for taking control of your life. Once you read this you will never be able to use an excuse again as to why you are not moving your life forward. I highly recommend this book!

"The Ultimate You" made a better me. One thing that really inspired me was the emphasis the book placed on the mind. The advice that "Your mind is the biggest obstacle to your success", and that you have to "Battle the demons in your mind telling you it [your dream, idea, or project] will fail", hit home because I hear those negative voices all the time. After reading this book I finally got serious, said "Today it the day", and took my first steps in establishing a web business. Thanks.
